WRA Presents at the First Annual Callippe Silverspot Butterfly Symposium
WRA was honored to participate in the first annual Callippe Silverspot Butterfly Symposium at Rush Ranch in Suisun City, joining conservation partners, land trusts, and agencies dedicated to the recovery of this endangered species.
WRA’s Wildlife and Fisheries Director Rob Schell presented on the 745-acre Ridge Top Ranch Wildlife Conservation Bank in Solano County, where long-term land stewardship is creating critical habitat for the Callippe silverspot butterfly. Through careful management of grasslands, innovative grazing practices, and restoration of host plants, Ridge Top Ranch is helping to secure a future for the butterfly and other sensitive species in the region.
We’re proud to share lessons learned from this site and to collaborate with partners across the region to advance butterfly recovery efforts.
