About Us

We’re here to make a positive lasting impression.

40-year-old employee-owned consultancy.

From our roots in wetland research and supporting our first clients in the Bay Area following the inception of the federal Clean Water Act, we specialize in projects where humans and nature intersect and work to create net positive solutions. We are employee-owned with 100 team members strong working from four offices in California and a growing distributed workforce throughout the West.

Leading healthy and balanced lives.

We are committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment and we have developed flexible policies, internal practices, and are investing in programs that prioritize learning and sustainability. We aim to create conditions that allow employees to prioritize their families, lead healthy and balanced lives, and to bring their authentic selves to work every day.

Purpose-driven partnerships.

We partner with public agencies, non-profit, and private organizations to plan, design, and implement innovative projects with a focus on partnerships that support our company vision, cultivating a sustainable future where people and the environment thrive.

I love the geographic and ecological diversity of the projects we work on. Not only do we have a responsibility to do good work for our clients, we also have a direct stake in the future of the communities we serve.

Our company Vision allows me an opportunity to work on projects that matter to me. For example, restoration work is incredibly rewarding since it provides an opportunity to make a positive contribution for the future.
