WRA to Sponsor/Present/Exhibit at Cal-IPC Symposium 2023!

WRA is a proud sponsor of the California Invasive Plant Council (Cal-IPC) Symposium on October 25-28, 2023. This year’s theme is “Reuniting for Resilience” and attendees will gather at CSU Chico to connect and share the latest in invasive plant management. You can find our team members presenting:
- Thursday, October 26 11am-12pm: WRA Senior Restoration Contractor Jason Mills presents in Session 4: Rare Plants and Weeds, “Prescribed fire for Medusa head (Elymus caput-medusae) control and impacts to species composition in an invaded California grassland.”
- Friday, October 27 1-2pm, WRA Biologist and salt marsh harvest mouse expert Katie Smith, PhD co-presents with UC Davis in Session 12: Weeds vs. Natives: Which Does Our Wildlife Prefer in Natural Areas? “Evaluating the plasticity of a “specialized” rodent in a highly-invaded estuary.”
