The 44th annual Natural Areas Conference will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado October 10-12, 2017. This year’s conference focuses on collaboration as a key to natural areas management. WRA’s Denver-based conservation finance team, focused on innovative investment strategies for conservation projects in the U.S. and abroad, is honored to be part of this year’s program.
Conservation Finance Manager Jane Rice will present as part of the Value of Ecosystem Services Session on Wednesday, October 11 at 9:30am MST. Jane’s presentation, Market-Based Conservation: Lessons Learned in Program Design, will provide an overview of challenges and lessons learned that will help attendees learn how to shape successful programs that balance conservation benefits and revenues for landowners. One case study that will be highlighted is an emerging forest carbon crediting program in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California.
