WRA Welcomes Brad Job, PE, Engineering Director
WRA, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Brad Job, PE as our new Engineering Director. Brad earned his B.S. in Environmental Resources Engineering from Humboldt State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in California and Alaska with more than 32 years of diverse engineering experience, specializing in improving aquatic ecosystems, fish passage design, and watershed restoration.
In this leadership role, Brad will apply his technical expertise and proven management skills to guide WRA’s engineering practice, supporting complex restoration, infrastructure, and resource management projects across California.
“We’re really excited that Brad chose to continue his career dedicated to aquatic ecosystem recovery to lead our growing group of engineering staff,” said Aaron Sutherlin, WRA Director of Project Delivery. “His unique background and passion for habitat restoration, combined with his leadership experience, will strengthen our ability to meet complex client needs and expand our portfolio of impactful projects.”
Before joining WRA, Brad served as Director of Engineering for the U.S. Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region, overseeing engineering operations across California. He previously served as Forest Engineer for the Tongass National Forest in Southeast Alaska—also known as the “Salmon Forest”—and earlier in his federal career contributed to the restoration of Headwaters Forest Reserve and establishment of the California Coastal National Monument while with the Bureau of Land Management’s Arcata Field Office.
Beyond his federal service, Brad brings six years of regulatory experience with the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board, where he focused on groundwater pollution, contaminated sediment, and military base closures, as well as six years of experience in environmental consulting. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran.
Reflecting on his career, Brad shared: “I am most content as an engineer when doing good things for aquatic ecosystems and the people who like to recreate in and around them.”
