How do land owners and managers proactively identify flashy fire fuels such as invasive plants that lead to increased wildfire risk?

At the Living with Fire: Sonoma County Forest Conservation Conference held June 23-24 in Forestville, California, WRA’s Senior Restoration Contractor, Jason Mills, led a dynamic discussion (in an outdoor classroom no less!) on “Tactical Solutions to Common Forestry Challenges” to address these questions and more.

Additional members of WRA’s resiliency team members including Molly Curley O’Brien, Chase Whitener, Jeff Haslam, and Giselle Vandrick were on hand to discuss WRA’s capabilities in supporting the full lifecycle fuel treatment projects from funding, planning, surveys and compliance, through implementation.

Thank you to the Sonoma County Forest Conservation Work Group, University of California Cooperative Extension, Santa Rosa Junior College, and other esteemed partners who came together to further learn how we can collectively live resiliently alongside wildfire.
