WRA’s wetland delineation experts Tanner Harris and Aaron Arthur will co-lead a 40-hour basic wetland delineation training at San Francisco State University’s Estuary and Ocean Science (EOS) Center in Tiburon, CA on March 25-29, 2019.
This training, provided in joint collaboration with the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) and the EOS Center, will focus on procedures used to delineate wetland boundaries using standards developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The course will cover both the 1987 Corps Wetlands Delineation Manual and the Arid West and Western Mountains, Valleys, and Coast Regional Supplements. We will also review recent changes to the State’s wetland definition and wetland delineation procedures. The first three days will include lectures and labs at the EOS campus in Tiburon. The last two days will be spent at field sites in Marin and Sonoma counties.
