Known as “the must attend event” for those involved in protecting, mitigating and restoring our natural resource assets such as fish, wildlife and species, water, wetlands, streams, water quality and quantity, carbon, biodiversity, and related environmental markets, EMC is the new name of the of the National Mitigation & Environmental Markets / Mitigation Banking Conference, continuing its mission of connecting regulators and resource agencies, mitigation, restoration and offset providers, consumers/customers of offsets, mitigation and restoration, and investors to engage and share resources, best practices, and innovative approaches.

The 2024 National Outdoor Recreation Conference (NORC) May 6-9 in South Lake Tahoe. This year’s event is hosted by The Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals (SORP)in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and sponsored by Aramark Destinations. NORC is the premiere conference for outdoor recreation professionals with opportunities for learning, networking, and field-based case studies. During each conference, we create a program that inspires, challenges, and empowers the broad community of outdoor recreation professionals. NORC brings together over 400 people that include recreation resource planners, land managers, policy makers, tourism and destination stewardship partners, researchers, consultants, innovators, and leaders in outdoor recreation. This year’s conference promises to be an engaging 4-day format filled with workshops, several tracks of concurrent sessions, and a stellar lineup of keynotes.
WRA Principal Ecologist Matt Richmond, Public Access Planner Robin Graham, and Senior Landscape Architect Ingrid Morken, PLA, CERP, SITES AP will attend. Ingrid will also present a poster on Monday, May 6 “Invitation to the Shoreline” about the integration of ecological restoration with public access for shoreline projects. Posters will be displayed throughout the entire conference.
