WRA Experts to Present at Regional Wildlife Society Conference

Members of our wildlife team are in Pomona, California February 22-26, 2016 attending The Wildlife Society – Western Section Annual Meeting. WRA is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s event that will draw in more than 600 practitioners and academics who study and manage wildlife species, habitats, and issues related to their conservation.

Associate Wildlife Biologist Rob Schell has two presentations focused on California red-legged frog (Rana draytonii). The first is a long-term case study of how a population responds to predator eradication (abstract). The second focuses on translocation results of the federally threatened species during drought conditions (abstract).  In addition, Wildlife Biologist Patricia Valcarcel will present on a case study of Pacific Pond Turtle (Actinemys marmorata) trapping and relocation effort in the Delta (abstract).
