WRA is excited to announce the opening of our new San Diego office.
San Diego is a natural fit for us. We have worked on a broad range of important projects in the region for over 30 years, are very familiar with local regulations, and have excellent relationships with all of the local regulators. For example, WRA performed and implemented a 450-acre habitat restoration at Southern California Edison’s San Dieguito Lagoon. In a separate project, WRA obtained permits, designed and implemented mitigation, provided permit compliance services, and conducted construction observation for the 117-mile Sunrise Powerlink transmission line.
Managing Director Rod Dossey leads WRA’s San Diego office. Mr. Dossey has over twenty years of experience in biological consulting and natural resources management throughout Southern California, He comes to WRA as an experienced manager leading successful teams who help clients achieve their project goals. Rod will focus on biology and mitigation issues for clients across the region. “WRA’s reputation for responsiveness while efficiently and effectively completing projects aligns directly with my approach to helping clients. It is very exciting to have joined a firm with so many practical and talented scientists. I look forward to assisting clients with both existing and new projects,” said Mr. Dossey. He is joined by wildlife biologist Shawn Carroll, whose broad base of experience lends itself to resourceful leadership of professional field surveying teams.
“San Diego is a natural fit for us. We have worked on a broad range of important projects in this area over the past 30 years, are very familiar with local regulations, and have excellent relationships with regulators based in this area,” said President Tom Fraser. “We have many reasons for opening WRA San Diego: our San Diego project work on energy, mitigation and conservation banking, and border security along with the growing local economy have created the perfect environment for us,” said Mr. Fraser. Clients in San Diego come to us for planning, regulatory, and mitigation support, and we want to make it easy for them to sit down with us and have a face-to-face conversation about their project. It’s all about increased project support and service.
The San Diego office is open and ready to assist you with any project needs. We would love to have the opportunity to help you with any difficulties that you may currently be experiencing.
