WRA was honored to be part of the City’s Upper York Creek Ecosystem Restoration and Aquatic Habitat Enhancement Project ribbon-cutting event on June 27, 2023. WRA’s Principal Geomorphologist Virginia Mahacek and Senior Restoration Engineer Andrew Smith, PE joined City Manager Anil Comelo, Mayor Paul Dohring; Congressman Mike Thompson; and respectively, the City’s present and former Public Works Directors, Joe Leach and Erica Ahmann Smithies (now with the City of American Canyon) and other invited attendees. WRA Senior Restoration Landscape Designer Derell Griffin designed the interpretive panel depicting the project features and benefits.
