WRA is proud to be a Session Sponsor of the 41st Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference on March 26-29 in Santa Rosa, California. WRA experts are excited to gather in Wine Country soon to enjoy the great programming and share in conversations about the latest in salmonid conservation and restoration efforts.

Be sure to stop by our exhibitor table and say hello to members of our Riverscapes & Shorelines team including WRA Riverscapes and Shorelines Director Aaron Sutherlin, PE, Restoration Ecology Director Ashley Zavagno, CERP, CE, and Senior Restoration Engineer, Andrew Smith, PE.

WRA is honored to be part of the programming for this year’s conference:

  • Thursday, March 28: Ashley Zavagno will present a poster, “The Confluence of Private Investment and River Restoration in Mitigation Banking” at the evening poster session from 7-10 pm.
  • Friday, March 29: Andrew Smith will co-present “Going slow and going together — Navigating Project Meanders and Building Consensus to Restore Fish Passage in the Napa River Watershed” with Frances Knapczyk, Napa County Resource Conservation District and Matt Erickson, California Department of Fish and Wildlife. This presentation is part of the Fish Passage and Other Intriguing Talks session from 1:30-5 pm.
  • Friday, March 29: Aaron Sutherlin will present “Unanticipated Outcomes after Wildfire in the York Creek Dam Removal Project”. This presentation is part of the Oops! I didn’t mean to do that. Restoration Endeavors With Unintended Outcomes session from 1:30-5 pm.
