MMWD Lagunitas Creek Invasive Vegetation Management

Selectively remove invasive plants along steelhead habitats in Lagunitas Creek to meet Revegetation and Adaptive Management Plan goals

The nine Marin Municipal Water District’s (MMWD) Lagunitas Creek Salmonid Winter Habitat Enhancement Projects were implemented to enhance winter habitat conditions for coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) and steelhead trout (O. mykiss). MMWD developed a Revegetation and Adaptive Management Plan to outline riparian enhancements, maintenance, and invasive plant control. WRA was brought on to initiate invasive plant control by selectively removing invasive plants located in the construction disturbance footprints of nine coho salmon and steelhead trout habitats built in Lagunitas Creek to meet plan goals.
