The meeting hosted in collaboration with Shasta College, North Coast Resource Partnership, and Napa and Tehama RCDs, will focus on landscapes and land management issues unique to northern California.

Coastal Quest, in partnership with Ventura County Wildfire Collaborative, is proud to present the first California Wildfire Conference. This three-day exchange will bring together a diverse community of practitioners to focus on understanding, preventing, and recovering from wildfires. The conference will be held from October 24-26, 2023, in Ventura County at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Participants will be drawn from California, Western US States and globally where wildfire and communities’ interface.

This year’s theme is “Reuniting for Resilience” and attendees will gather at CSU Chico to connect and share the latest in invasive plant management. The Contra Costa Watershed Forum is excited to welcome community members and watershed stakeholders to the 2023 Watershed Symposium October 26 from 9:30am-5:30pm. We invite all creek enthusiasts, watershed advocates, wildlife supporters, conservationists, students, and interested community members to attend this event!

The theme of this year’s Symposium, Intergenerational Watershed Stewardship, seeks to open an inclusive and practical dialogue between established watershed advocates and the emerging generation of watershed stewards.

As we recognize the implications of our changing climate, how can we strengthen our commitments to collaboration and sharing knowledge among diverse participants in and around Contra Costa? How can we ensure that multi-year projects and plans come to fruition? We will explore answers to these questions and hope you will take part in the dialogue.
