Environmental Compliance Monitoring
A specialty team, built for purpose.
WRA’s Compliance Monitoring Team brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to implementing environmental permits in active construction environments. Our compliance professionals are trained to bridge the gap between permit language and real-world site conditions. Our unique Compliance Monitoring Team is wholly dedicated to navigating the nuances of environmental permits. Through our years of experience, we’ve built close relationships with regulators as true permitting experts with over 150 projects completed throughout California. Our tried and true approach to resume submissions streamlines approvals from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) as:
- Designated Biologists
- Lead Biologists
- Qualified Biologists
- Approved Biological Monitors
Over 60 of our biologists have been approved as Designated Biologists, Qualified Biologists, and Biological Monitors by these agencies. In addition, WRA’s hiring process is nimble, allowing us the flexibility to hire and train talented biologists quickly. Each of our monitors is trained to WRA’s high safety standards and is trained to work as a team with on-site personnel to ensure we can work effectively with all construction teams. Whether it’s last-minute monitoring, pre-construction surveys for emergency work, or species identification on the fly, we’re here for you.
Working Smarter with Technology
Our toolbox is loaded with technology to maximize our efficiency and thoroughness in the field. To ensure constant contact between our field team and office staff, we use Slack to bring a web of expert knowledge to every project site. Wildnote/Fulcrum allows us to gather and compose comprehensive data into daily monitoring reports ready for expedient report submission and thorough record keeping. When visual encounter surveys are not enough, WRA uses an array of cutting-edge wildlife tools to assist in detection of rare or elusive species before they impact project timelines and budgets.
